High Blocks Teams at Northlake Library
High Blocks Robotics brought excitement and innovation to our library with their latest FLL robotics workshop, designed especially for the local kids!
Our team had an incredible volunteer service event at the Northlake-Barbara Loar Library. Both the High Blocks Challenge Team and High Blocks Explore participated, sharing insights about the FIRST LEGO League and how to start a team to learn robotics. Each team member took turns introducing the history, core values, and age qualifications of the league.
After the introductions, we divided the audience into five stations with engaging hands-on activities including Robot Obstacle Dodging, Color Sensor Fun, Tower Building Fun, LEGO Derby, and SUMO Bot Fighting.
Each station was manned by two High Blocks members, providing personalized guidance and fun for all participants. Through this experience, our team learned about the spirit of community service and practiced presentation skills with strangers. Throughout these activities, the High Blocks team showcased their exceptional teamwork, leadership, and technical expertise, leaving a lasting impression on the local community.
