The team spent this meeting putting the final touches on their engineering notebook and preparing for next week’s regional tournament. They reviewed every page of the Canva notebook, checking the cover, table of contents, and each section about their project and robot design. The team members adjusted page layouts for printing, fixed page numbers, moved text away from the binding, balanced words and pictures, and revised any phrases that sounded too negative so the notebook would be clear and positive.
Once the notebook review was complete, the team shifted to robot practice. Groups B and C worked together on robot launches, with one member serving as the recorder to track scores and outcomes. The kids checked attachments, fixed field setup issues, discussed what went well and what still needed more practice, and began preparing for how to clearly communicate their questions to the judges.
The team also spent time practicing their Innovation Project presentation. They worked on speaking clearly and sharing their ideas confidently.
With the regional tournament just a week away and this being the last regular class before competition, Coach Will encouraged everyone to stay focused and continue practicing robot runs and judging questions on their own to be fully prepared for tournament day.
The team is excited and working hard. Regionals, here they come!
