A Dive into Creativity and Collaboration
A Dive into Creativity and Collaboration
This week, our group started the session with an inspiring "Show and Share" session where creativity and innovation took center stage. Each member brought their unique flair, showcasing projects that highlight their interests and skills.
Kicking things off, Wesley wowed us with his impressive demo of a LEGO gun shield. His creativity in combining design and functionality proved that even a classic toy can be transformed into something exciting and innovative. Next, Ava took us on a trip down memory lane by sharing her childhood videos and photos. Her stories and images sparked laughter and nostalgia, reminding us of the joy in our early experiences and the importance of cherishing those memories.
Haoyang showcased his game developed on Scratch, where players navigate as a blue fish trying to escape from a hungry shark. The interactive element of his project brought everyone together, as we cheered on players trying to dodge obstacles and survive in the ocean. Max shared his experience from the Georgia Tech STEM event he attended that morning. He brought back a shark tooth, a tangible piece of his adventure that excited the group. His enthusiasm for learning about marine life was contagious and added depth to our discussions about ocean ecosystems.
As we transitioned into our collaborative projects, the energy in the room heightened. Alina crafted a multilayered fish safe house, designed to exist between sunlight and the twilight zone, demonstrating her understanding of marine habitats. Ian is focused on developing a seaweed farm, contributing to our understanding of sustainability in oceanic environments.
Max is taking on the challenge of motorizing a pincher and slider for our upcoming projects, adding a mechanical twist to our creations. Wesley and Haoyang are also brainstorming a new game where players tap on cookies to keep them from hitting the ground—a fun twist that promises to engage everyone! Finally, Ava and Alina are working on a skit to creatively present our projects, ensuring that our hard work is both informative and entertaining.
As we prepare for our next steps, we’re excited to see how our projects evolve and what new ideas will emerge from this talented group. Stay tuned for more updates as we dive deeper into our oceanic explorations!
