Today the team rehearsed with script in hand for the regional tournament in mid December.
Daniel, Leon, and Olivia presented the innovation project. Special thanks to Coach Julia for filling in for Reina, who could not make it because of schedule conflicts.
Jason, Larry (for his own part and also standing in for Brandon), and Wanying rehearsed the presentation on robot design.
The rehearsal concluded with the kid’s reflections and the coaches' feedback. Wait! The final share & feedback. Leon and Olivia (standing in for Reina) ran back to the “stage”---last but not least, the final share!
The team went through the to-do list, including but not limited to
finish poster boards and other props
finish coding for the blue attachments
combine all codes into one program
Every kid’s role in the robot game was finalized. So were their roles during the tournament day ranging from outreach to robot keeping.
There will be a lot of props to hold during the presentation session: ocean farm model, poster boards, iPad, submersible, base robot, attachments, etc., and each prop needs a responsible person. As the assignments were announced, the kids were super excited. With the presentations, plans, and props, the tournament is becoming tangible and real!
The second half of today’s session was dedicated to attachment building, coding, and iterating.
