Prototype Fun and Looking for Experts
Show-and-tell your prototypes
Creativity was in full swing as everyone pitched their wildest ideas for the prototype. The room buzzed with excitement and a bit of healthy debate. Here’s a snapshot of the action:
Wanying sketched a design that packed a punch with comprehensive functionalities. Her concept featured radar, propellers, and multi-functional arms that could slice through seaweed and neatly collect it all in one go.
Leon introduced a Photogrammetry approach to the mapping challenge, proposing the use of a 3D model to map out an ocean farm. He suggested starting small with a simple model of a single cage, maybe even in someone's backyard pool, emphasizing the importance of teamwork to bring this idea to life.
Brandon lightened the room with a hands-on prototype featuring a quirky scissor contraption to snip seaweed. It was both functional and humorous, adding a touch of fun to the brainstorming session.
Larry inspired the team with his multi-functional prototype that allowed people to inspect the ocean from within. His design included ladders for easy access, where people could climb up in their “water suits” (akin to space suits) and explore the underwater world. To top it off, he unveiled the “Coca Cola Submarine”—a playful creation made from a plastic water bottle with wheels, capable of traversing both land and water.
Daniel brought in a shoebox-based prototype, complete with lights and propellers. His idea sparked a discussion on turning the prototype into a water-sucking vacuum, adding yet another layer of innovation to the project.
After the brainstorming, team decided to break up with small groups to work on each idea.
